Expertum’s AWS Partnership: Elevating Your RISE with SAP Experience

Share

Many software providers are moving towards a subscription-based model in a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. SAP is no different with its Cloud first strategy in which SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud is the cornerstone. For existing customers not yet ready to move to the public Cloud, there is RISE with SAP. RISE with SAP is a private Cloud for SAP S/4HANA. It is a subscription-based model in which software support and maintenance, technical managed services and the hyperscaler resources are included. RISE with SAP is available on popular hyperscalers such as Amazon, Azure, or the Google Cloud Platform among others.

Which hyperscaler to choose

Does the choice of hyperscaler matter if the necessary resources are included in the RISE with SAP subscription fee? It does and should not be taken lightly as many things need to be considered, such as the location of the datacenter, service availability, scalability, resilience, and compliancy requirements. Depending on the type of business, GDPR among other European regulations for specific industries may apply. Hyperscalers offer different DevOps, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence solutions which customers may want to use in combination with SAP S/4HANA. Choosing the right hyperscaler should therefore be an important piece of the digital transformation.

AWS Partner Network (APN)

Expertum has been supporting customers on different hyperscalers for many years. To better advice our RISE with SAP customers in their transition to or operations on AWS, Expertum became member of the AWS Partner Network (APN). The APN is a global community that leverages AWS technologies, programs, expertise, and tools to build solutions and services for customers and partners. This partnership includes training, knowledge sharing and certification beyond the boundaries of SAP enabling Expertum to better assist its customers in exploiting the possibilities of AWS in combination with SAP solutions.
