Let’s take the example of one of our clients in the public broadcasting sector.

Their goal? To develop their employees’ skills and place them at the center of every process and decision.

At that time, the public organization was looking for a solution that would allow its employees to define their growth path while being guided by the company’s needs. It comes as no surprise that they chose to implement SAP SuccessFactors Learning.

The Challenges

Easy access to a wide range of training content was a key issue for the public organization, justifying the launch of the project. The goal was to have a tool that would allow employees to define their own development paths while remaining aligned with the company’s needs. Following the advice of an external consulting firm, the organization opted to implement SAP SuccessFactors Learning, thereby enhancing an existing foundation on the same tool.

Faced with this challenge, the main issue for the HR department was freeing up sufficient time within its teams to contribute effectively to the project. Another challenge was integrating the understanding of the technical aspects (tool-specific features) with the knowledge of business needs.

Awareness of the project’s real impact on the HR team developed gradually, as the number of issues to resolve continued to grow.

Our experience with integration projects allowed us to quickly identify the nature of the support required for the HR team, ensuring both the continuity of the project and the smooth running of their daily activities. Based on this, we identified within our teams the key person possessing all the necessary skills.

We assigned an HR sector consultant, specialized in SAP SuccessFactors, to bring versatility and specific expertise to the business team.

Her added value was to act as a coordinator and mediator between the integrator and key HR users throughout the project. She ensured effective communication among all stakeholders by establishing a smooth and efficient channel between the business team and the IT integrator.

An entirely personalized approach, grounded in her knowledge and flexibility, enabled her to understand their expectations, align with their requirements, and become familiar with their vision.

The Results Achieved

The main outcome of the mission was the restoration of the HR team’s confidence in their ability to successfully carry out the project and turn it into a true value-generating success. The tailored support, among other things, enabled the implementation of structured testing phases to encourage adoption and ease of use of the tool.

Integrating SAP SuccessFactors Learning with the already implemented Performance & Goals module created bridges between evaluations, development objectives, and learning paths.

By the end of the mission, the tool was successfully put into production in a calm and positive environment: the HR team’s fears and reservations were addressed, allowing the solution to be embraced positively.
