As part of the RESA project, the main objective was to introduce a new tool for personnel administration and organizational chart management. This initiative aimed to provide the “HR‑Admin” team with a single, more intuitive solution replacing the existing systems while anticipating the potential migration of SAP to the cloud.
The project followed the go‑live of the SuccessFactors Learning and Performance & Goal Management modules in order to centralize information and streamline HR processes, particularly around talent management.
This project consisted of:
- Transitioning from SAP on‑premise to the SuccessFactors Employee Central module
- Simplifying and modernizing the HR application landscape by reducing the number of systems and data sources
- Addressing business needs related to the decommissioning of the Access database
- Providing the HR‑Admin team with a new digital platform for RESA personnel administration
- Enabling RESA employees to access general information about their profile and view the up‑to‑date organizational chart
The Challenges
Previously, personnel administration and organizational chart management at RESA were handled through SAP on‑premise and an Access database. This multi‑system approach created inefficiencies and increasing complexity. In addition, with SAP ECC HCM support ending by 2027, a more sustainable solution was required.
Persolis conducted a detailed analysis of the existing infrastructure, which led to the selection and implementation of the SuccessFactors Employee Central module.
The objective of the project was therefore to provide the “HR‑Admin” team with a single and more intuitive source for personnel administration management.
Persolis’ Approach
Persolis began its mission with an in‑depth analysis of RESA’s existing architecture. Following this assessment, the decision was made to adopt SuccessFactors Employee Central to manage all employee data. Workshops were organized to clarify both technical and business aspects, and a target (“To‑Be”) solution was designed.
- Analysis of the existing architecture:
Persolis first evaluated RESA’s HR infrastructure by identifying the systems in place, their interconnections, and the processes involved in personnel administration and organizational chart management. SuccessFactors Employee Central was selected as the most appropriate solution to meet business requirements. - Clarification and planning workshops:
Persolis organized working sessions with the RESA HR‑Admin team to clarify business requirements, understand current processes, and define the vision for the future solution. These sessions provided essential information for designing the solution. Based on the insights gathered, Persolis developed a target (“To‑Be”) solution describing the architecture, functionalities, and processes of the new Employee Central platform. - Implementation of the “To‑Be” solution:
Our mission then continued with the implementation of the target solution, including a pilot migration using the InfoPorter tool, which had been carefully evaluated by Persolis during the exploration phase. This facilitated the migration of data from existing systems to Employee Central. This stage required an in‑depth analysis of the data model, mappings, and necessary transformations to ensure the integrity and consistency of data migrated between systems. - Testing phase:
To ensure the quality and functionality of the solution, the Persolis team conducted extensive functional testing based on test scenarios prepared by RESA. These tests helped identify and correct any gaps between the requirements defined during the workshops and the implemented solution. RESA then performed its own testing before moving to integration testing sessions. These tests validated the entire system, ensuring consistency and compatibility with the other systems used by RESA. Throughout this validation phase, Persolis and RESA teams worked closely together to support the client in adopting the system and ensure a smooth transition to the new solution. - Go‑Live:
Once the tests were validated and any issues resolved, our team successfully completed the final phase of the project: the Go‑Live. This critical stage involved putting the new platform into production, marking the start of its operational use by RESA’s HR‑Admin teams.
The Results Achieved
The deployment was successful, with a smooth transition to the new platform despite the challenges encountered. RESA’s HR‑Admin teams now benefit from a more intuitive and centralized tool for personnel administration and organizational chart management.
Functional and integration testing ensured the quality and reliability of the solution, leading to a successful Go‑Live.
In conclusion, the RESA project modernized HR processes, streamlined systems, and prepared RESA for the future by providing a robust and sustainable solution for workforce management.

Laurence Gordenne – CIO & Director of Transformation and Digitalization, RESA
This project was a success for RESA. Open and effective communication was essential to ensure the smooth execution of the project. Project governance followed best practices and enabled regular interactions with escalation of blocking points and risks. This allowed collaborative solutions to be found at every stage of the project.
Despite some delays to the Go‑Live, Persolis consistently demonstrated professionalism and adaptability. The technical challenges of the project were underestimated at the start and could have been better anticipated. Taking into account RESA’s existing and somewhat complex infrastructure proved to be a key success factor.
Nevertheless, the collaborative spirit made it possible to complete the project and achieve the objectives that had been set. RESA is convinced that this solution will bring tangible benefits to the company.

This project was a very enriching experience. I found the project extremely interesting and learned a great deal throughout the process. Working with a supportive, dynamic, and united team was a real opportunity. Smooth communication with the client and mutual trust were key elements in ensuring the project’s success.
Of course, the project was not without its challenges. Tight timelines, overlapping phases, and sometimes complex architecture represented certain obstacles. However, thanks to our commitment and close collaboration, we successfully overcame these challenges. I am proud of the work accomplished and convinced that this solution will bring real benefits to RESA.
