Udo Messack
I’m Udo, and I'm delighted to strengthen Expertum the Netherlands with my commercial passion, drive, knowledge & expertise in order to boost sales and more.
Originally a techie and started in the pre-Internet era with the first computers (TRS80, XT, Amiga). I quickly developed my commercial skills, which resulted in my first companies in hardware, software, networks, kiosk systems and of course, the first websites. After that, I applied my knowledge to commercially support various start-ups and scale-ups both nationally and internationally. In recent years, I was back in my old world of IT with marketing & sales. I did this for some very high level cybersecurity solutions and we aimed at Dutch based corporates with at least a CISO on board. Cybersecurity is and remains very interesting, but I missed the commercial proposition. After all, better (and expensive) security doesn’t deliver higher ROI for a company but can only limit damage in case of a breach. I’m therefore very happy with my move to Expertum to help companies improve their ROI with SAP.

After a critical search for a new challenge, I came across Expertum. It looked promising. Not too big, not too small, good proposition, open character, people-focused and definitely not boring, and Houten is also close to Zeist. The job posting even promised a delicious lunch at the first interview!!! It became a 4:00 PM appointment at the office… Where Sjoerd and Chris, with their really good energy, chemistry, passion, knowledge, expertise, and humor, made me quickly forget about lunch. The second meeting followed and was a pleasant lunch with Anneleen and Ted at the Roskam. I was convinced, and luckily the feeling was mutual.
